Cloud Architect

Let's remember the importance of public clouds : they are clouds maintained by external companies where the data and processes that customers need are available. The applications, storage and other resources available are publicly available through the cloud provider via the Internet. Public cloud computing has very specific characteristics. For example, they are agile networks, capable of providing rapid improvements in any type of corporate environment.

At the same time, this type of cloud is focused on cost reduction, offers great scalability so that companies have what they need at all times and give completely independent access to all types of devices and locations. They also meet the highest levels of security , centralizing data and resources to ensure maximum privacy. Without forgetting that it is not necessary to perform any type of maintenance, it is not a requirement to install programs, so you just have to be connected to the Internet so that we can benefit from the advantages of this environment.

 A cloud architect is primarily responsible for monitoring the cloud computing approach in a company. This figure is related to the business strategy of business models in the cloud: planning, organizing or structuring delivery models, among others. It includes design, implementation, service levels and migration components. It is what is known as  solutions architect or technical architect .

One of the main aspects on account is to recognize that working alone is not always the optimal solution. That is where the hybrid cloud or private clouds come into play. But if the organization has a “cloud-first strategy”, it is likely that it will choose multiple solutions in the cloud depending on the business objective that is needed.

Understanding the multi-cloud environment is the first critical skill that cloud architects need to have and that extends beyond what it means to their organization. You always have to analyze what each provider offers, how to align it in the best way to meet the needs of the business and the impact it can have on its current state. If a multi-cloud environment is the chosen approach, supplier management will be essential to maintain effective relationships and clear lines of communication with all of them.
